Having played football as a child, I unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to play in an all-girls team, which led to me stepping away from the game as a teenager. When the opportunity to return came along, I jumped at the chance, and that experience has fuelled my passion for driving girls’ participation in sport, particularly football.

 

Between myself and Dan we dedicate at least 20 hours or more a week to the club through coaching, organising, supporting players and continuing to play myself. We’re both incredibly passionate about creating opportunities for girls to get involved in football, develop their confidence and enjoy the same opportunities that weren’t always available to me growing up.

 

I haven’t quite made the leap from my current team to the Park just yet, but who knows, maybe one day!
